Peach Cheesecake Smoothie
Creamy, sweet and full of peach flavor, this peach cheesecake smoothie tastes like cheesecake, but in liquid form! Not only does this smoothie scream summertime, but it is also packed with protein, containing 21 grams per serving! This peach cheesecake smoothie would be a great post-workout snack option, but it could also double as a protein-rich breakfast too.

Summertime is the season of ripe, fresh fruits. Although I pretty much love any fruit variety, peaches just might be on my list of favorites, along with blueberries, strawberries and pineapple of course. Finding the perfect peach is often difficult. But, when you find one that oozes juice, so much juice that it rolls down your arm, you know you’ve found a good peach! Sweet, juicy peaches blended into a delightful smoothie definitely make the relentless summer heat much more bearable 🙂
So, I’ll be honest with you, I’ve never had a peach cheesecake. But I’ve had peaches, lots of peaches. And I’ve had cheesecake. So why not just mash the two flavors together into a delicious, healthy smoothie? This smoothie has a light, tangy flavor reminiscent of cream cheese in a cheesecake, but, in order to boost the protein in the smoothie, you’ll use cottage cheese instead. Yeah I know, sounds a bit weird right? But trust me, the cottage cheese blends up so smoothly that you’ll never be able to detect it! I’m not a huge fan of cottage cheese in general, but when it’s blended into this smoothie, I just taste a lovely cheesecake flavor, and I’m all for that! If you loved my Cottage Cheese Ice Cream Bars, you’re going to love this smoothie made with cottage cheese too 😀
Ingredients You Need

Frozen Peaches~ I opted to just use store-bought frozen peaches, but you can also buy fresh peaches, peel and slice them, and then freeze on a tray until solid. In a pinch, you could use fresh peaches and skip freezing them, but you might need to add some ice so that your smoothie is actually cold.
Cottage Cheese~ Cottage cheese gives the smoothie that “cheesecake” flavor, and also packs a serious protein punch. I prefer to use full-fat cottage cheese, but you could use low-fat if that works better for you. If you just can’t handle putting cottage cheese in a smoothie (it can feel a little strange lol), you could substitute using plain yogurt or greek yogurt instead.
Milk~ Any dairy or non-dairy milk works here.
Honey~ Honey adds natural sweetness which boosts the flavor of the peaches. You could use any liquid or granulated sweetener as a substitute if you wish.
Vanilla Extract~ This ingredient is a must! Vanilla and peaches are just meant to be together 🙂
The Dance
I love making smoothies because they are seriously so easy and only take a few minutes to throw together! To make this peach cheesecake smoothie, add the peaches, cottage cheese, milk, honey and vanilla to a blender. Blend the ingredients until creamy and smooth. I love to pour the smoothie into glasses and top with crushed graham crackers to imitate a graham cracker crust on a cheesecake. Oh, and a fun straw ties the whole smoothie together!
